Inspired by the many blessings they were fortunate to enjoy during childhood, brothers Robert and Nick More developed the best of MORE to share with you unique and life-enriching experiences. The MORE Collection of luxury lodges and boutique hotels span the most breath-taking regions of Southern Africa.

Our Roots
MORE is a fourth-generation family business, which owns and manages a private collection of luxury safari lodges and boutique hotels, set within some of Southern Africa’s most inspiring locations. Our origin dates back to 1933… Great grandfather Guy Aubrey Chalkley, awed by the pristine beauty of South Africa’s Sabie region and determined to conserve it, purchased a farm that would later form the base of our Lion Sands Game Reserve.
In continuing his legacy of dedication to the environment and passion for sharing its many wonders, it seemed only natural for us to move into Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We have long dreamed of offering a quintessential Southern African experience, combining safari, Cape Town and Victoria Falls, and the opening of Stanley & Livingstone Boutique Hotel, in partnership with the Aujan family, here has seen it realised.
Our Purpose and Values
We have established eight lodges in three uniquely different reserves, and three hotels in the vicinity of two Natural Wonders of the World. In so doing, we have committed to protecting Southern Africa’s last wild places, bringing people together here, and creating enriching experiences for you to share in. Led by Robert More, our passionate team appreciates that every day we have the opportunity to inspire your renewed appreciation of life – your own and the natural world – which also allows us to continue conserving the region’s untainted wildernesses for generations to come. We know that Mother Nature is the greatest teacher of the only things in life that truly matter.
Our Places
For this reason, you will find us in the most awe-inspiring and untouched parts of Southern Africa. Some of our properties are part of the More family heritage – tremendous gifts, handed down through generations of custodians. Others took time and patience to curate, and great partnerships and passion to transform into the very special and singular places they are today. Each MORE lodge and hotel provides a place for loved ones and friends to some together and with every comfort and convenience afforded, there is time for the rest to take care of itself… During this pause, our commitment is to creating experiences that, shared, reconnect you with yourself, each other and the ‘wonder-fullness’ of life.

More Community Trust
The heart of our operation – More Community Trust (MCT) helps fulfil our commitment to creating opportunities for people to enrich their lives. As a non-profit organisation, MCT gives long-term, meaningful assistance to the communities in which our lodges and hotels operate. Empowerment projects here are designed around: early childhood development; skills development and enterprise; access to clean, running water; and improving living standards. But together, we can do more. Over the years, MCT has developed close relationships within these communities, and we invite you to visit, experience a different – and humbling – way of living, Get Your Hands Dirty helping out, and make a tangible, positive difference in their people’s lives.
